Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a highly skilled SAP Application Analyst Principal, SC Aftermarket to join our team in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Systems/Information Technology team, you will play a critical role in enhancing application functionality, optimizing business processes, and configuring applications to meet the needs of our Aftermarket business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance Application Functionality: Provide comprehensive expertise in application functionality, configuration, and support to ensure software solutions meet business needs effectively.

  • Optimize Business Processes: Lead the analysis and evaluation of application functionality to recommend ways to increase the utilization of standard application features, thereby improving business processes and capabilities.

  • Configure Applications: Determine and document the optimal application setup and configuration to meet functional requirements, ensuring that complex setups are correctly configured and verified.

  • Stay Current with Trends: Remain up-to-date on emerging application trends and functionalities to provide cutting-edge functional expertise for assigned applications and systems.

  • Address Functionality Gaps: Lead the analysis of potential application solutions to identify and recommend ways to address functionality gaps, ensuring the applications meet all business requirements.

  • Vendor Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to enhance application functionality and resolve complex issues.

  • Cross-functional Partnership: Partner with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, and architects to gather, document, and review requirements, defining functional designs that align with business goals.

  • Training and Development: Educate, coach, and train team members to improve the quality and efficiency of support processes, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient team.

Requirements

  • Strategic and Solution Design Mindset: Ability to foresee future possibilities and design comprehensive solutions.

  • Expertise in SAP HANA and Supply Chain: Deep understanding of SAP HANA functionality, especially in the context of Supply Chain Aftermarket Business, and the ability to analyze and recommend improvements.

  • Cross-functional SAP Experience: Certified experience in key SAP processes across various modules.

  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to explain complex SAP concepts to diverse audiences and collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
