About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter and Locksmith to join our team at Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL). As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of carpentry and locksmith tasks, including repairs, maintenance, and installations.
  • Operate and maintain power tools and machinery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from various trades, including plumbers, electricians, and administrators.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Competency in the use and operation of power tools and machinery, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and regulations.
  • Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification.
  • City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
