Hydro International's Workshop Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) division, part of CRH Infrastructure Products.
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our workshop, overseeing the repair and refurbishment of equipment, and maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Oversee the examination and maintenance of lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve workshop efficiency, safety, and productivity.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction.
- Valid driving license and CSCS card.
- Previous experience in mechanical engineering, electrical qualifications, and welding.
- Forklift experience and license.
- Knowledge of the water industry and inlet/water equipment (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
