About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hydro International's UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) division. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our workshop facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all workshop repairs and refurbishments, adhering to agreed quotes in terms of monetary value and time.
  • Conduct regular examinations and compliance checks on lifting equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring all staff adhere to prescribed risk assessments and procedures.
  • Be prepared to work away from the workshop if required, including attending callouts.
  • Mentor new engineers within the workshop environment and oversee their work when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other staff and trades to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Current valid driving license.
  • CSCS card.
  • Previous engineering or electrical qualifications, including welding.
  • Forklift experience and license.
  • Knowledge of the water industry and inlet/water equipment (desirable).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours if required.
