About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team at Hydro International's Portland branch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all workshop repairs and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Compliance and examination of lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment, ensuring staff adhere to safe procedures and equipment.
  • Be prepared to work away from the branch if required or attend callouts.
  • Mentor new engineers within the workshop environment and oversee their work.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and trades within the business.
Requirements
  • Current valid driving license.
  • CSCS card.
  • Previous engineering or electrical qualifications, including welding.
  • Forklift experience and license.
  • Knowledge of the water industry and inlet/water equipment (desirable).
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours if required.
