Job Title: Workshop Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team in Portland. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for all workshop repairs and refurbishments, ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the compliance and examinations of lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring staff use all safe procedures and equipment as prescribed in appropriate risk assessments.
  • Be prepared to work away if required or attend callouts.
  • Mentor new engineers within the workshop environment and oversee their work.
  • Work as a team with other staff and trades within the business.

About You:

  • Current Valid Driving License
  • CSCS card
  • Previous engineering or electrical qualifications, including welding
  • Forklift experience and license
  • Knowledge of the water industry and inlet/water equipment (desirable)
  • Computer Literate
  • Good communicator, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours if required
