About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of a defined range of medical equipment/devices, requiring a high degree of competence, experience, and specialized knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of medical equipment/devices, including complex electro-mechanical devices.
  • Use of Office and other equipment-specific software packages.
  • Disassembly and reassembly skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical electronic engineering.
  • Ability to use equipment management databases.
Requirements
  • Good quality academic qualifications in engineering/technology (Masters or equivalent).
  • Extensive additional theoretical knowledge acquired through CPD (professional short courses, personal study, conferences).
  • At least 3 years' experience as a technologist.
  • Specialist knowledge on the maintenance and repair of a range of highly complex devices.
  • Ability to communicate complex and varied information across professional boundaries.
