Child Care Department Overview:

Our Child Care Department is renowned for its expertise, consistently praised by The Legal 500 for its knowledgeable team. We specialize in all facets of child care law, providing expert advice and representation for children, parents, and guardians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly report to the Department Director
  • Maintain a professional and proactive approach, demonstrating strong client care skills
  • Assist with casework across a range of public and private child care matters
  • Engage with clients, gather instructions, and prepare cases
  • Manage correspondence efficiently
  • Ensure accurate time costing procedures are maintained
  • Implement recommendations from monthly file reviews promptly
  • Ensure compliance with file management protocols
Essential Skills:
  • Passion and experience in publicly funded Child Care Law
  • Strong academic background with a Law degree
  • Relevant legal experience as a Child Care Paralegal or Advisor
  • Clear understanding of Children Laws and their application
  • Business acumen with the ability to promote the firm
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse clients
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when necessary
  • A committed team player, self-motivated and professional
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and document management
