Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Software Engineer to join our team of experts in developing and implementing cutting-edge trading systems. As a Quantitative Software Engineer at AGITProp, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating mathematical models, risk management systems, order management systems, and backtesting frameworks to support our trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop risk management systems, order management systems, and backtesting frameworks to support trading operations.
  • Continuously optimize existing systems and models for performance, scalability, and reliability, employing rigorous testing methodologies.
  • Work closely with quants and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines and storage solutions to handle large volumes of financial data efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantitative finance, software engineering, and trading technologies, and proactively recommend improvements and enhancements.
  • Conduct post-trade analysis to evaluate the performance of trading models and systems, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a software development role, with a focus on quantitative finance or trading systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, C++, Java, or similar languages, with experience in relevant libraries and frameworks for quantitative finance.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and trading algorithms, with the ability to translate quantitative concepts into actionable code.
  • Experience in developing risk management systems, order management systems, and backtesting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and data storage/retrieval systems, such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements, and proactively suggest improvements to processes and tools.
