Position: Python Quantitative Software Engineer

A prominent player in the quantitative trading sector is looking for a skilled Python Quantitative Software Engineer to enhance its trading teams. This role focuses on improving existing systems, bolstering the reliability of live trading operations, and refining research methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new software components for live trading and research activities.
  • Design and enhance data-heavy ETL pipelines.
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of the codebase.
  • Create and manage continuous integration pipelines.
  • Improve system stability and observability through effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to enhance trading strategies and their profitability.
  • Refine and advance Python tools along with simulation and backtesting frameworks.
  • Oversee and maintain quantitative research tasks.
  • Assist the global research team with relevant research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree is preferred).
  • Over 5 years of professional experience with core Python and statistical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Polars.
  • Familiarity with a strongly typed programming language, preferably C++.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with strong communication and teamwork capabilities in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting languages like Bash.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of workflow management and task scheduling systems.
  • Understanding of Equities and Equity Derivatives trading.
