Construction Project Manager - Southern Region

Flexible working arrangements with travel within the designated operational area to be determined – typically encompassing London and the South-East.

Compensation: £49,738, which includes a Car Allowance of £5,800

Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing construction initiatives and managing supplier relationships. Your responsibilities will also include drafting specifications, managing the tendering process, and ensuring successful project execution through collaboration with suppliers in the specified operational areas.

Key projects may involve:

Homeownership (Leasehold) initiatives. Complex development projects. Unique projects requiring detailed specifications.

This role contributes to the delivery of essential investment programs, necessitating close collaboration with colleagues to achieve the overarching goals of the Property directorate in alignment with the business strategy.

You will be leading and operating in a dynamic environment characterized by significant transformation.

The primary objectives of this position include:

Ensuring the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. Coordinating project implementation with the property delivery team. Managing several key projects that necessitate a foundational understanding of the Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Facilitating communication with both internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, portfolio strategy teams, sustainability teams, and housing/care operations. Guaranteeing adherence to all regulatory, statutory, and internal governance/policy standards while proposing enhancements. Fostering a resilient service and organization.

About You:

To excel in this role, you will possess:

A proven history of managing property projects, including homeownership (S20) programs. A strong record of engaging with high-value, complex partnership contracts that deliver exceptional customer satisfaction within budget and timelines. Experience in leading teams through transitions, ensuring that operational practices yield effective and efficient outcomes that meet local needs. A collaborative approach with colleagues and clients in evaluating service offerings and specifications that enhance service delivery, with effective communication to both staff and residents. Proficient people management skills, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire individuals and teams to meet and exceed performance expectations.

Additionally, you should be:

Adaptable regarding site locations within this region. Ideally holding a degree or possessing substantial relevant experience. Preferably pursuing a professional qualification relevant to the role, such as MRICS.
