Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors to the ward with a warm welcome.
- Assist families with their initial inquiries and needs.
- Manage incoming calls and relay messages appropriately.
- Monitor the door via video surveillance and verify identification.
- Support the Ward Administrator with various duties, including patient admissions and discharges, as well as managing visitor flow.
- Carry out external errands for staff or families.- Assist in organizing coffee mornings.
- Maintain tidiness and stock information leaflet displays.
- Ensure the parent sitting area is clean and organized.
- Help families navigate online services in the sitting area.
- Coordinate bookings for parent massage sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service.
- Background in reception duties.
- Friendly, approachable, and efficient telephone communication skills.
- Proficient in IT and familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Dependable and trustworthy.
- Ability to engage with parents in a considerate and confident manner.
- Sensitive and tactful disposition.
- Emotionally mature with an understanding of personal and professional boundaries.
Compensation:
- £11.44 per hour
Work Schedule:
- Shifts are from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 7 AM to 2 PM on Fridays, with potential weekend work. Total hours may vary between 16 to 30 hours per week.
