About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our team at Cromwell Hospital in London. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in providing expert clinical care to patients undergoing robotic and laparoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist consultant surgeons in the safe operation of the hospital's robotic surgical system within the sterile field.
  • Perform advanced surgical tasks, including positioning of the anesthetized patient, catheterization, skin preparation, and sterile draping.
  • Use best evidence and advanced specialist skills to provide expert clinical care.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to manage surgical patient pathways and support other team members.
  • Undertake advanced practice as the bedside assistant to patients undergoing robotic or laparoscopic procedures.
  • Provide support and advice to nursing, medical, and allied health professional staff in relation to the management of the surgical patient in theatres.
Requirements
  • RN 1st level registration - NMC registration or Registered ODP.
  • RCS Basic Surgical Skills Course - SFA qualification.
  • SCP training completed or undertaking.
