About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Territory Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships and generating new business opportunities across our materials characterisation product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing customer relationships and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, lead generation, and follow-up.
- Effectively manage your territory, with direct responsibility for sales projects and negotiations.
- Visit customer sites regularly to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations, and train customers on the correct use of our equipment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with laboratory managers, PhD-level scientists, and technicians.
- Travel throughout the defined territory, the UK, and occasionally overseas for training and business meetings.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have easy access to the main road network.
Requirements:
- At least two years' experience in selling analytical instruments into a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, petro/chemical, and academia.
- Ability to effectively communicate with laboratory managers, PhD-level scientists, and technicians.
- Strong business development and sales skills, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
