Senior Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Contechs Consulting. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Investigation and Closure: Participate in investigations to identify and address non-conformances, and provide training to teams on quality investigation procedures.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and implement follow-up measures to minimize or eliminate accidents and asset losses.
- Training and Coaching: Develop and deliver training programs to drive a safety-perfect culture and ensure Health and Safety standards are understood throughout the organization.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure ethical and legal compliance responsibilities are met, and maintain an environment where employees feel comfortable raising concerns.
- Financial Management: Manage the safety budget and ensure financial targets are met.
- Environmental Management Systems: Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and experience working with governing bodies such as the HSE, EA, or Local Authorities.
- Safety Culture: Understand the importance of building a good safety culture and working with stakeholders to drive engagement.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and ability to adapt to other systems as needed.
- Leadership and Motivation: Demonstrate ability to create a motivational environment and drive good health and safety culture.
- Technical Excellence: Technical functional excellence in Health and Safety demonstrated through leadership.
- Project Management: Understanding of CDM and project management skills.
- Process Safety Management: Knowledge of Process Safety Management, including ATEX, Chemical, and Fire Risk Management.
