Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Contechs Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Investigations and Training: Participate in investigations to identify and address non-conformances, and provide training to teams on quality investigation procedures.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and implement follow-up measures to minimize or eliminate accidents and asset losses.
- Training and Coaching: Develop and deliver training programs to drive a safety-perfect culture and ensure Health and Safety standards are well understood throughout the organization.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure knowledge of ethical and legal compliance responsibilities and lead by example in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
- Financial Management: Act as budget holder for safety and ensure financial targets are met.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and experience working with governing bodies such as the HSE, EA, or Local Authorities.
- Safety Culture: Understand the importance of building a good safety culture and working with stakeholders to drive engagement across the organization.
- Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with experience of Windows and ability to adapt to other systems as required.
- Leadership and Motivation: Demonstrated ability to create a motivational environment and drive good health and safety culture.
- Technical Excellence: Technical functional excellence in Health and Safety demonstrated through leadership.
- CDM and Project Management: Understanding of CDM and project management skills would be an advantage.
- Process Safety Management: Underlying knowledge of Process Safety Management, including ATEX, Chemical, and Fire Risk Management.
