Job Title: Senior HSE Specialist

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months)

  • Coordinate all Environment, Health & Safety programs and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances and train teams on quality investigation procedures.
  • Provide Health & Safety expertise for new projects and change management activities, ensuring risk assessments are conducted and follow-ups implemented to minimize accidents.
  • Develop systems to resolve non-conformances based on root cause analysis and ensure facility standards are in compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Drive a safety-perfect culture by ensuring training and coaching are taking place, and Health & Safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization.
  • Act as deputy for the HSE Manager when unavailable, and coach less experienced team members to drive a pipeline of talent within the business.
  • Budget holder for safety, ensuring financial targets are met, and develop a pipeline of projects working alongside the engineering department and operations.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and experience working with governing bodies is essential.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with technical functional excellence in Health & Safety demonstrated through leadership.
  • Understanding of CDM and project management skills are preferable, as well as underlying knowledge of Process Safety Management.

Successful candidates will need to be on site full time until they are up to speed, then at the manager's discretion, there can be flexibility on start/finish times, with a possibility of 1 day home working.
