About the Role:

Hays Social Care is collaborating with a reputable primary educational institution to find a dedicated support assistant. This position involves working closely with a young female student who has special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis.

Contract Details:

This is a full-time, long-term position that is expected to continue throughout the academic year.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a year 2 student with moderate SEN.
  • Act as the primary contact for the student during school hours, ensuring a smooth transition at the beginning and end of the school day.
  • Facilitate learning by offering targeted intervention and booster sessions in core subjects.
  • Encourage active participation in educational activities to help the student achieve their academic goals.
  • Administer speech and language therapy as needed.
  • Manage the application of a prescribed dermal cream throughout the day.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Recent, referenceable experience in supporting children and young people, particularly those with SEN.
  • A commitment to a full-time, long-term position.
