About the Role

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team at Sims Ltd, a global company dedicated to creating a world without waste. This 12-month fixed-term contract is a maternity cover position, providing an opportunity for a skilled administrator to support our Newport site with a range of administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to the site, including weighbridge cover where required.
  • Cover for holiday and sickness, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company's weighbridge procedures at all times.
  • Liaise with customers, lorry drivers, contractors, and visitors to the company who may call at the weighbridge.
  • Handle incoming telephone enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Deal with visitors to the site in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with yard personnel to ensure the correct processing of all loads.
  • Ensure compliance by all staff, contractors, and visitors to the site with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Control site purchase order systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site accounting records, meeting reporting requirements for the Head Office Accounts Department.
