Overview

We are on the lookout for a seasoned and dynamic Lead Product Operations Manager to become a vital part of Yapily, reporting directly to the VP of Product Strategy & Innovation. This essential position is embedded within our Product Strategy & Innovation team, which tackles two fundamental inquiries: Are we pursuing the right objectives, and are we executing them effectively?

As the Lead Product Operations Manager, you will uphold the highest standards throughout the product development process, ensuring strict compliance with best practices and strategic goals. Serving as a key authority, you will foster discipline and accountability within the product team, propelling continuous enhancement and operational effectiveness. Your responsibilities will require meticulous oversight of robust processes, rigorous quality assurance, and precise performance metrics. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will harmonize efforts and streamline workflows, ensuring that all product initiatives are in sync with the company's strategic objectives and deliver outstanding value to our clients. You will play a pivotal role in bridging strategy with execution, ensuring that we accomplish the most impactful work efficiently and in alignment with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate our product planning cycles to enhance cross-team alignment and transparency.
  • Lead cross-team discussions focused on dependency mapping, monitoring, and risk management.
  • Establish and monitor metrics related to roadmap delivery and operational efficiency to perpetually refine our planning and product lifecycle management practices.
  • Collaborate with the Technology division to develop a clear understanding of product success metrics and their application in product decision-making.
  • Assist in defining, refining, and implementing quality assurance processes, including the Definition of Done.
  • Contribute to the creation of the annual product strategy, which includes conducting research on priority topics, scenario modeling, and presenting recommendations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the high-level product roadmap, ensuring ongoing alignment with business objectives and addressing any resource or capacity challenges.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the VP of Product Strategy & Innovation, aiding in the preparation for significant meetings, presentations, and challenging decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Business Operations, or as a Business Analyst.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian suite, particularly workflow management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket (admin-level knowledge is highly desirable).
  • A passion for innovation is essential.
  • While a technical background is not mandatory, experience working with technology teams and the ability to comprehend technical concepts is crucial.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams, with the capability to create and implement joint processes.
  • A strong commitment to operational excellence; highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of transforming partial, conflicting, diverse, or ambiguous inputs into actionable plans.
  • Proven experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional partners, along with exceptional communication skills.
  • A proactive 'can-do' attitude, demonstrating discipline and self-governance in your work approach.
  • Experience in FinTech or a similarly regulated industry is advantageous, as is familiarity with navigating a dynamic and agile multi-product technology company.
