About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled consultant dermatologist to join our rapidly growing team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a consultant dermatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing sub-specialty interests, and contributing to the development of our dermatology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care for patients with skin conditions, including general adult and pediatric dermatology, skin cancer services, and phototherapies.
  • Develop and maintain sub-specialty interests, including academic links with neighboring university hospitals.
  • Work closely with our Nurse Specialist team to provide and monitor systemic therapies, including biological therapies and isotretinoin.
  • Participate in monthly clinical governance meetings and contribute to the development of our dermatology department.
  • Undertake clinical duties and minor surgery, including 7 sessions per week and a half day in a community dermatology hub.
