Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve productivity and service KPIs
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards are maintained and relevant paperwork is completed and retained
  • Deliver communication briefings to ensure all shift team members are aware of company and local issues
  • Manage the Goods Inwards area to ensure receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods
  • Develop team members to maximize their contributions to the warehouse and succession plan
  • Carry out disciplinary and grievance interviews and investigations in line with company procedure
  • Monitor and control sickness absence levels and conduct return to work interviews
  • Monitor and control the time and attendance system
  • Ensure appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost-effectively run the shift
  • Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring correct Health and Safety representation on shift
Requirements
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel
  • Confident at dealing with people at all levels
  • Adaptable and methodical approach to work, training, and working hours
  • Conscientious and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
