Job Title: Estates Service Desk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Estates Service Desk Manager to join our team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates team, you will be responsible for managing the Service Desk and ensuring that our estates maintenance services are delivered to the highest standards.

About the Role

The Estates Service Desk Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Service Desk and ensuring that all service requests are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitoring the performance of our service providers and ensuring that they meet the required standards.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures and service level standards for the Service Desk.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the Service Desk team and ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties.
  • Collaborating with other teams across the Trust to ensure that our estates maintenance services are aligned with our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

The Estates Service Desk Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Service Desk rota to ensure that the team is adequately staffed and that all service requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of our service providers and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Developing and implementing new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Desk.
  • Providing training and guidance to the Service Desk team on new processes and procedures.
  • Collaborating with other teams across the Trust to ensure that our estates maintenance services are aligned with our overall business objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Practical experience of working in an engineering/estates Service Desk at management/supervisor level.
  • CAFM systems management/operation.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and word processors such as Excel and Word.
  • Experience in office management.
