The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust, fit for purpose, and industry best practice manual handling training across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver manual handling training to a range of audiences, including staff at all levels of the organization
* Develop and support the delivery of manual handling training across the Trust
* Ensure the quality of training from the Trust manual handling trainer and any other external manual handling contracted trainers
* Provide advice and support to the Health and Safety team and all Trust staff on manual handling issues
* Use the Trust Risk Management Database System to interrogate and analyze incident data to identify trends and areas of concern

Requirements:

* Substantial experience of delivering manual/patient handling training to a range of audiences, preferably acute NHS
* Commitment to personal learning and development
* Thorough working knowledge of current manual handling risk management and associated legislation in relation to NHS environments
* Experience of managing a member of staff

Personal Qualities and Attributes:

* Problem solving skills - resourceful and imaginative
* Communicate effectively with staff at all levels
* Ability to advise and support managers to fulfill their responsibilities for manual handling
