About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional to join our team as a Senior Information Governance Manager. As a key member of our Patient Information Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our Information Governance function, including Freedom of Information, Subject Access, and IG breach processes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of our Information Governance function, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Provide support, advice, and training to our Board, senior bodies, and key assurance posts on Information Governance.
  • Develop and implement internal processes and procedures to ensure effective Information Governance.
  • Manage and motivate a team of Information Governance professionals, reviewing their performance and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work closely with our stakeholders to ensure that our Information Governance function meets their needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of Information Governance legislation, best practice, and principles.
  • Significant experience in leading an Information Governance assurance framework and delivering to the required standard of quality assurance and audit.
  • Experience of managing the submission of DSPT and understanding of technical aspects of Information Security.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting, and working knowledge of financial processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment.
  • Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
  • Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills.
  • Intermediate (or advanced) Keyboard skill - ability to use Microsoft Office package at intermediate (or advanced) level.
