About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at Octavia Council. As a key member of our social housing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services to our residents.

As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will work on a planned route, supporting residents with reactive repairs across our portfolio of properties. You will have a certified core trade and be able to deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work to a high standard, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to deliver repair and maintenance services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Operate a company vehicle, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering, or other relevant trades.
  • Good customer service skills and ability to work with residents.
  • Valid driving license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks.
