Senior Financial Crime Investigation Officer – Permanent Position

Reed Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Crime Investigation Officer to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organization against financial misconduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive investigations into financial misconduct, including fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), and counter-terrorism financing (CTF).
  • Formulating and upholding financial crime policies in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as a representative of the organization in dealings with external agencies and during third-party inquiries regarding financial crime.
  • Assessing internal reports and referrals to determine the necessity of reporting suspicions to relevant authorities.
  • Compiling annual compliance reports related to Money Laundering Regulations for executive management.
  • Managing FCA Financial Services returns and overseeing the post-transaction monitoring process.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders within the organization on financial crime and security issues.
  • Facilitating internal training sessions on financial crime-related topics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in investigatory roles within law enforcement, regulatory bodies, or corporate investigations.
  • Background in a financial institution with knowledge of financial crime and fraud prevention.
  • Familiarity with the UK regulatory framework concerning financial crime.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders while managing tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: University degree or equivalent, financial crime certification, experience with AML and transaction monitoring software.
