Position Overview

Are you a seasoned attorney specializing in Corporate Crime and Investigations seeking a new challenge? Our Corporate Crime & Investigations Team, a vital part of the Dispute Resolution department, offers an opportunity to work with high-profile clients, granting you significant responsibility and autonomy from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide counsel to corporations, their boards, and directors on critical matters related to corporate crime, financial misconduct, and regulatory compliance. Our team excels in crisis management, corporate liability, conducting internal investigations, liaising with regulatory bodies, and defending against intricate investigations and prosecutions.

You will be expected to possess substantial experience in corporate crime, financial misconduct, and/or regulatory compliance, ideally with a background in advising corporations during extensive investigations and legal proceedings.

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of issues, including serious fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions and export controls, asset recovery, corporate manslaughter, health and safety regulations, and inquests.

As part of a robust team of over 100 dispute resolution lawyers tackling a variety of complex challenges for both private and public sector clients, you will collaborate closely with esteemed legal professionals, including:

  • Guy Bastable, Band 1 (Chambers)
  • Ben Davies, Key Lawyer (Legal 500)

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Criminal law and procedures
  • Corporate criminal liability
  • Advising on large-scale criminal investigations
  • Navigating investigations by various regulatory agencies
  • Handling large-scale coroner's inquests
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance and managing complex regulatory risks
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client management and commercial acumen
  • Ability to adapt and manage complex tasks under pressure
  • Registration as a lawyer with the SRA
