Senior Financial Crime Investigator – Permanent Position

Reed Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated Senior Financial Crime Investigator to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of financial operations and compliance within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations into financial crime-related issues, including fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), and counter-terrorism financing (CTF).
  • Develop and uphold financial crime policies that align with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Act as a representative for the organization in dealings with external agencies and during third-party inquiries concerning financial crime.
  • Review internal reports and referrals to assess whether suspicions necessitate reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Prepare detailed annual compliance reports regarding Money Laundering Regulations for senior management review.
  • Manage the submission of FCA Financial Services returns and oversee the post-transaction monitoring process.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization on financial crime and security issues.
  • Facilitate internal training sessions on financial crime topics to enhance team knowledge and awareness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven investigatory experience in law enforcement, regulatory, or corporate investigation roles.
  • Background in a financial institution with a focus on financial crime and fraud prevention.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK regulatory framework concerning financial crime.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders while managing tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: A university degree or equivalent, along with a financial crime-related qualification and experience with AML or transaction monitoring software.
