About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collections Officer to join our team at InterQuest Group. As a Collections Officer, you will play a critical role in our company's success by collecting company arrears and maintaining professional service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect company arrears through various means, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and update them accordingly.
  • Negotiate settlements in line with company policy, ensuring fair and reasonable outcomes.
  • Set up and manage Long Term Payment Arrangements (LTPA) to facilitate debt repayment.
  • Conduct regular comprehensive reviews to ensure LTPA adherence and proactively manage non-adhered LTPAs towards litigation.
  • Perform other reasonable requests from the line manager to ensure the smooth operation of the collections team.

Core Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in collections with knowledge of arrears to bad debt recovery, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Empathetic, assertive, and resilient, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer literacy with attention to detail, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively, resolving disputes and ensuring caller concerns are addressed.
