Credit and Collections Specialist

Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for managing cash flow and building strong relationships with clients? We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Manager to join our dynamic team at Watkin Jones Group.
About the Role:The Credit and Collections Manager will play a crucial role in mitigating risks and maximizing profits by ensuring timely payments and minimizing discrepancies. As part of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end invoicing process, including monthly contract applications, commercial invoices, and rentals.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the invoicing process, including contract applications, commercial invoices, and rentals.
- Record and reconcile incoming receipts and payments, arrange banking, and process associated journals.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting and support the completion of month-end activities within required deadlines.
- Work closely with the wider Accounts team, including supporting the year-end audit process.
- Supervise the Sales Ledger Assistant in raising, distributing, reporting on, and allocating payments received through the ledger for contra invoices.
We're looking for an individual with previous experience in a credit control position, education/qualifications to a level of NVQ 3, 'A' Level, BTEC National, or equivalent qualifications, and AAT or similar. Strong time management skills, intermediate knowledge of Excel, and IT skills are also essential.
