Job Description

Teaching Tomorrow Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, both in and out of the classroom, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of students with SEND.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behavior and engagement.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and techniques to support students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher to inform ongoing interventions and adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND and disabilities is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special education (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
