SEN Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to provide essential support in a specialized educational environment.

This institution serves children aged 3-11 who experience a range of learning challenges, including moderate to severe difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, autism spectrum conditions, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating engaging and educational activities to enhance children's learning experiences.
  • Organizing a structured daily routine that accommodates various activities, including breaks and meals.
  • Adhering to safeguarding principles to ensure the welfare of all children.
  • Addressing each child's cognitive, social, and emotional requirements.
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic educational environment, ensuring all equipment is secure.
  • Encouraging the development of self-esteem and independence among students.
  • Designing and implementing tailored learning opportunities based on individual educational plans.
  • Collaborating with key workers to assess and address each child's unique needs.

Key Information:

  • Opportunity to work with remarkable children and young adults.
  • Full-time position available, Monday to Friday.
  • Term-time only role.
  • Contract based on PAYE.
  • Competitive hourly wage starting at £12.90+, depending on experience and responsibilities.
