Legacy Fundraising Strategy Lead

In this newly established Legacy and In-Memory Giving Manager position, you will be encouraged to take bold steps and explore innovative approaches. The children's hospice is gearing up for an ambitious capital campaign, aimed at expanding their services with a second hospice location. Legacy fundraising will be crucial in securing the charity's future, enabling them to continue their vital work for seriously and terminally ill children.
Compensation: £41,500 - £45,800
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, ideally 2-3 days per week from a designated base
Employment Type: Permanent, with options for full-time or part-time
Perks: 27 days of vacation (+bank holidays), 4% employer pension contribution, enhanced parental leave

Role Overview
You will play a pivotal role in establishing the hospice as a leader in legacy fundraising.
Leading the Legacy (Gifts in Wills) and In Memory strategy, you will ensure that supporter engagement, audience insights, and effective targeting are at the forefront by launching impactful marketing initiatives across diverse channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a leading legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy.
- Forge relationships with various stakeholders, generating legacy leads and converting them into legators.
- Actively participate in the Fundraising Team Leaders group, collaborating with colleagues to maximize legacy giving opportunities.
- Leverage a wide array of marketing platforms and events.
- Create essential messaging and tools to empower staff in discussing legacies with supporters.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience and a successful track record in a strategic legacy fundraising capacity, including the development and execution of fundraising plans, are essential.
