As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to children aged 5-18 with emotional trauma, learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and challenging behavior.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and Review Care Plans: Collaborate with professionals to ensure individual care plans meet each young person's needs and goals.
- Effective Communication: Maintain open communication with young people, families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Safety and Security: Risk assess and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete paperwork, including incident forms, medication administration records, logbooks, and handover sheets, as per individual home requirements.
- Recreational and Educational Activities: Organize and participate in activities promoting social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
- Emotional Support: Guide young people in managing their emotions and behaviors.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a care setting with children in the UK.
- DBS and Right to Work: Valid DBS on the Update Service and right to work in the UK.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualification in childcare or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
