Compensation: £11.97 – £12.70 per hour

Reporting Structure: Reports to Head Chef and Country House Manager

Role Overview:

As a Culinary Specialist at our Country House, you will contribute to creating a welcoming retreat for guests participating in guided or self-guided walking tours. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving a Traditional British menu that features breakfast, packed lunches, and a three-course evening meal served in a banquet style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in meal preparation and service.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Support the culinary team in delivering a consistent and high-quality dining experience.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Candidate Profile:

We seek individuals with the following essential qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety legislation, and hygiene standards.
  • Commitment to upholding the culinary standards set by the Head Chef.
  • NVQ Level 3 in professional cooking or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
