Nursing Support Coordinator

Position Overview
The role involves active participation in the execution of health service screening initiatives within the educational environment, adhering to the guidelines of the Healthy Child Programme and local service standards.
You will play a crucial part in the implementation of the Working Together to Safeguard Children framework, focusing on enhancing health outcomes and life opportunities for children and families while ensuring the safety of those in vulnerable situations.
This position requires alignment with the values and behaviors upheld by Central London Community Health Trust. You will provide both administrative and clinical assistance to the school health team.
Your responsibilities will include undertaking tasks as assigned by the Team Lead or School Nurse, supporting the overall delivery of the school health services.
You will also contribute to a 'child-centered service' that fosters effective collaboration with parents, primary educational institutions, and various agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) in educational settings, which entails measuring and recording the height and weight of children in Reception and Year 6 at state-funded schools.
- Coordinate with schools ahead of scheduled sessions to finalize dates and disseminate necessary information.

Qualifications

- Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with a solid educational background.
- NVQ Level 3 Care Certificate or equivalent experience.
