About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Delta by Marriott Cheltenham Chase hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading by example and providing guidance and mentorship to your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and delivery of food leaving the kitchen meets our high standards.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, stock control, and cost management.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Collaborate with our events team to deliver exceptional catering services for conferences, banquets, and events.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a hotel environment or high-volume operation.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and plating techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
