About the Role

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team in post contract management for partner contracts relating to construction and infrastructure. As a Contract Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the objectives of AWE are met in spirit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the requirements of capital contracts, frameworks, and agreements that the Business has entered into and advise on how to achieve the most favorable outcomes for AWE.
  • Advise on how to get the most favorable outcomes for AWE, with delivery to time, cost, and quality at the center.
  • Have an understanding of the end-to-end procurement process and be aware or willing to train on CEMAR for NEC Contract administration.
  • Support senior contract managers with commercial contract management - administration, mobilization, reporting, calls offs, change orders, task orders.
  • Define NEC 4 and/or CCS contract terms, manage partner contracts, agree work orders, and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Suppliers.
  • Understand the requirements, duties, and obligations of AWE under contracts to ensure alignment with the Business' goals and industry regulations.
  • Monitor the implementation and performance of KPIs.
  • Obtain the appropriate governance approvals.
  • Manage and mitigate risks.
  • Create meaningful relationships with Stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in public sector procurement/contract management.
  • Public procurement regulations knowledge.
  • Understanding of business requirements for the assigned areas.
  • Motivation to drive value for money, applying industry-leading contract management techniques to mitigate commercial risk.

  • A competitive salary range of £46,000 to £60,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience).
  • 270 hours of annual leave (at least 25 days plus bank holidays), and every other Friday off work.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
