Advanced Urology Clinical Fellow

Position Overview
This is a full-time opportunity comprising 10 sessions per week within a progressive Urology department.
We invite applications for the role of Advanced Urology Clinical Fellow, designed for individuals with substantial experience in Urology at a senior trainee level. The successful candidate will be expected to hold full registration with the GMC and possess MRCS or an equivalent qualification.
This position offers the potential for a robotic fellowship, as well as opportunities to focus on stone surgery or reconstructive procedures, tailored to the training needs of the individual.
The on-call commitment follows a 1:7 rota, which includes proactive coverage for annual and study leave.
Our Postgraduate Centre is active, featuring a robust schedule of clinical meetings, seminars, and excellent library resources.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- In-patient care at the designated hospital and out-patient duties across various clinics.
- Maintaining standards for urology cancer accreditation, including inter-Trust transfers and adherence to 18-week targets.
- Contributing to the development of the Specialist Stone Management service, encompassing both surgical and non-surgical approaches to urinary tract stones.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- MRCS or equivalent.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- ST3+ level with extensive experience in urology surgery.
- Proficient in managing both elective and emergency urology cases.
- Comprehensive patient management skills.
- Ability to mentor and supervise junior medical staff and students.
