Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery to join our friendly and supportive general surgery team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. This is an ideal opportunity for surgeons who are planning an application for a national ST3 post.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will support in theatres, ward cover, HOT, on-calls, and clinics. There are ample training opportunities, including the allocation of a consultant educational and clinical supervisor. This ensures that opportunities for training are similar for both trust grade registrars and Deanery trainees.

Person Specification

Essential

  • 12 months General Surgical experience
  • Completed satisfactory basic surgical training

Desirable

  • Ability to organise own learning and time Initiative
  • Potential to cope with stressful situations and undertake responsibility

Qualifications

  • MB. ChB. or equivalent
  • MRCS or FRCS or equivalent
  • Current registration with GMC
