Assistant Outlet Manager Job Description

At Fairmont St. Andrews, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Outlet Manager to join our Restaurant Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outlet, providing exceptional service to our guests, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take sole responsibility for the outlet during shifts, allocating team members their duties and monitoring the smooth running of the outlet.
  • Assist the Outlet Manager in additional responsibilities within the venue, such as schedules, incentives for sales, training, and more.
  • Compile rotas for the department and ensure that the standards of service are adhered to and exceeded on each shift.
  • Replenish and control stock, including charging and stock holding.
  • Attend to all guest requests, anticipating their needs and remaining in the outlet at all times during service.
  • Supervise the provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents, and kitchenware.
  • Ensure that public areas, kitchens, storage facilities, and other work areas are kept clean and conform to sanitary regulations.
  • Attend to complaints concerning food service and support other venues during the absence of the Outlet Manager or during busy meal periods.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership position in a fast-paced high-end restaurant.
  • Excellent beverage and wine knowledge is preferred.
  • Previous Point of Sale system experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
