Assistant Outlet Manager Job Description

At Fairmont St. Andrews, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Outlet Manager to join our Restaurant Management team. As a key member of our team, you will support the Outlet Manager in ensuring the venue is a preferred dining destination and workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take sole responsibility for the Outlet during shifts, allocating team members duties and monitoring the smooth running of the outlet.
  • Assume additional responsibilities within the venue outside of shifts, including schedules, incentives for sales, training, and more.
  • Compile rotas for the department and ensure the replenishment and control of charging and stock holding.
  • Ensure that the standards of service are adhered to and exceeded on each shift.
  • Serve guests in a professional and positive manner, attending to all guest requests and anticipating their needs.
  • Supervise the provision of all crockery, cutlery, detergents, and kitchenware, ensuring public areas, kitchen, storage facilities, and work areas are kept clean and sanitary.
  • Attend to complaints concerning food service and support other venues during the absence of the Outlet Manager or during busy meal periods.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership position in a fast-paced high-end restaurant.
  • Excellent beverage and wine knowledge is preferred.
  • Previous Point of Sale system experience is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of responsibility and reliability.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
