About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team at Suneeta Ltd, a well-established Indian restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking of ingredients, beverages, and supplies, to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and sanitation standards, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food preparation, presentation, and delivery.
  • Maintain and manage restaurant facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and meet health and safety standards.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and special events, and to minimize labor costs.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations, providing feedback and guidance for improvement, to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, motivation, and high morale among staff.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure excellent customer service by proactively addressing guest needs and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the restaurant floor to interact with guests, gather feedback, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Manage reservations and coordinate special requests for events, private parties, and celebrations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure the restaurant ambiance, cleanliness, and overall presentation meet brand standards to create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for customers.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor and manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses, to ensure financial stability and profitability.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as daily sales, profit and loss statements, and inventory reports, to identify areas for improvement and make informed business decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including promotions, marketing campaigns, and menu updates, to drive business growth.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and reconciliation procedures to maintain financial integrity and minimize losses.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, events, and marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Utilize social media and online platforms to engage with customers, promote the restaurant, and build brand loyalty.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, communities, and organizations to enhance the restaurant's visibility and reputation.
  • Menu Development:
  • Work closely with the chef to develop, update, and maintain the menu, ensuring a balance of traditional and innovative Indian dishes that meet customer preferences and dietary needs.
  • Monitor menu performance and make recommendations for adjustments based on customer feedback and trends to ensure menu items are relevant and appealing to customers.
  • Ensure menu items are accurately priced and aligned with the restaurant's financial goals to maximize profitability.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including labor laws, health codes, and licensing requirements, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records for inspections, permits, and certifications to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar managerial role, preferably in an Indian restaurant, with a strong understanding of Indian cuisine, cultural nuances, and dining experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to motivate and manage staff, and to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail, to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and cost control to ensure financial stability and profitability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations, with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in hospitality management or a related field to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the industry.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management to leverage online platforms and build brand loyalty.
  • Knowledge of Hindi or other regional Indian languages to enhance communication with staff and customers.
