We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at The Old Ship, a traditional British pub in Richmond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Contribute to menu planning and development, working closely with the Head Chef to create innovative dishes.
  • Maintain effective controls on food costs, labor, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for producing high-quality food.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff.
  • A proactive approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
