Position Overview

We are excited to collaborate with a prominent Housing Association seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist for a Fixed Term Contract spanning 12-18 months.

This role is a full-time hybrid opportunity, allowing for two days of remote work each week. The compensation for this position is flexible and will be determined based on the candidate's experience.

Our client is in search of motivated professionals who possess a background in invoice management and a solid understanding of contemporary payroll regulations and HMRC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering payroll for a workforce exceeding 500 individuals, ensuring the accuracy of all salary disbursements, as well as statutory and voluntary deductions.
  • Verifying that precise deductions are executed and that both monthly and annual returns are reconciled for all pension plans.
  • Preparing and filing all payroll year-end documentation with HMRC.
  • Implementing controls to mitigate the risk of erroneous or fraudulent transactions.
  • Conducting monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliations.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience managing payroll in a dynamic environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of current payroll legislation and HMRC requirements, including a comprehensive understanding of statutory payments and deductions such as SSP, SMP, and NI.
  • Proven experience utilizing a computerized payroll system.
  • Experience in a customer-centric environment.

Working Hours:

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
