Position Title:
Compensation and Benefits Specialist

We are currently in search of a Compensation & Benefits Specialist on behalf of our client, a prestigious international law firm recognized for its excellence in the legal domain.

With a skilled team operating from London, our client is dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomes for their clientele and challenging the norms within their industry.

Reporting to the Compensation & Benefits Manager, the Compensation and Benefits Specialist will oversee the comprehensive UK monthly payroll for around 260 employees.

This role will also act as the primary contact for all inquiries related to payroll and benefits, ensuring precise payroll execution and working closely with HR, Finance, and other internal teams.

The Compensation & Benefits Specialist will have the chance to step in during the absence of the Compensation & Benefits Manager.

Responsibilities include processing the UK monthly payroll by gathering variable data from various sources and performing meticulous checks for accuracy and approval.

Collaborate with HR to guarantee processing precision and uphold data integrity between payroll and HR systems.

Update and maintain internal procedure documentation for payroll and benefits operations.

Ensure adherence to pension auto-enrolment regulations, advising employees on contribution levels and coordinating with the pension provider for payment processing.

Administer and support employee benefits in partnership with HR.

Conduct payroll and benefits orientation training for new employees, including insights on the UK tax framework and employee benefits for non-UK nationals.

Serve as the subject-matter expert and main point of contact for all payroll, pension, and benefits inquiries from staff.

Manage the Payroll email correspondence and ensure timely resolution of queries.

Contribute to various project work as needed.

A minimum of five years' relevant experience in payroll and benefits is required, preferably within the legal or professional services sector.

Prior experience with payroll software is essential, with familiarity in ADP iHCM 2 and ADP Real Time considered beneficial.

Strong analytical and data reporting capabilities are necessary, including proficiency in MS Excel.

In-depth knowledge of pertinent payroll legislation and pension auto-enrolment regulations is required.

Understanding of tax implications related to expenses, relocation allowances, benefits, and payroll salary sacrifice schemes is advantageous.

Experience with outsourced payroll providers is also preferred.
