Shift Quality Engineer

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a dedicated Shift Quality Engineer to join our client's expanding team in the Llanelli area.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum, with an attractive shift allowance averaging 15.67%, bringing the total compensation package to approximately £41,616.
Shift Pattern:- Mornings: Monday to Thursday - 06:00 - 14:00 hrs, Friday - 06:00 - 11:00 hrs. (10% premium payable)
- Afternoons: Monday to Thursday - 14:00 - 22:00 hrs, Friday - 11:00 - 16:00 hrs. (10% premium payable)
- Nights: Monday to Thursday - 22:00 - 06:00 hrs, Friday - 16: hrs. (27% premium payable)
As a Shift Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met within the manufacturing process. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive quality documentation and control systems.
- Preparing and submitting customer-specific documentation.
- Proficiently utilizing core quality tools and techniques, such as SPC, Ishikawa diagrams, histograms, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, and stratification.
- Providing support to internal manufacturing teams in resolving customer and internal quality concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborating with the New Product Introduction (NPI) teams during the development of Control Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and highlighting potential failure modes based on lessons learned.
- Supporting the Internal Audit team by conducting various internal audits.
- Demonstrating a strong understanding and application of automotive core tools such as APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA processes.
- Championing compliance with company systems, procedures, and control plan requirements.
- Providing quality/process data to the Manufacturing Teams and facilitating actions to enhance performance.
- Delivering training to Product Conformance Technicians / Quality Technicians.
- Managing the daily activities of Product Conformance Technicians / Quality Technicians.
- Proactively visiting customer and supplier locations to resolve customer concerns and maintain high levels of customer liaison.
