Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide behaviour support for a Year 6 student in a Central London primary school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behaviour management and a passion for supporting students with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the Year 6 student with behaviour management and learning needs
- Work closely with the student's class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour plans
- Support the student in achieving their academic and personal goals
- Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to ensure the student receives the best possible support
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with behaviour needs and complex learning difficulties
- Strong behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate conflicts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good academic background and understanding of SEMH and Behaviour difficulties
