Job Title: Level 3 EYP SEND Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of the students. They will also assist in implementing individualised learning plans and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet the specific needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting a small group of children with Autism, providing one-to-one and small group assistance to aid their learning and development.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans and EHCPs to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Working closely with other teaching assistants and support staff to ensure effective delivery of lessons and support for students.
  • Contributing to planning and assessment meetings, and providing feedback on student progress.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Early Years Professional (EYP) qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly Autism, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A creative approach to supporting and engaging students in their learning.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, supportive school environment.
